  Captains Log

A sharp operation is two fold, first you get Chris at the office, she will walk you through the process of chartering or answer any questions you might have about our open party trips, then it is the crew’s turn. We realize not every trip is the same with regards to fish, weather, etc, but we try to balance with consistency, providing customer satisfaction trip after trip.

Together, Mike & Chris combined the management skills and years of experience needed to ensure an outstanding trip aboard the Pacific Star.

Pacific Star has recently been re-powered with new John Deere main engines. She will have a whole new “feel”, smoother, quieter, and more efficient through the water, we trust the fish will like the new dynamic.

The Pacific Star offers a large spacious salon with seating for 25. Two heads with hot showers are located on the main deck just aft of the salon area. Down below are sleeping accommodations for up to 35 passengers, these are set up in private and semi private staterooms, with oversized bunks in all quarter, forced air and air conditioning throughout.

Both the experienced and novice angler will enjoy the friendly atmosphere onboard. Our Galley is open on all trips, charters have several delicious and creative menus to choose from, prepared on board by our culinary trained chef.

Your fish will be handled carefully, individually tagged and stored below deck in our large chilled seawater fish hold, ensuring your catch remains fresh for the ride home.

We are looking forward to having you back aboard for a fantastic season!

Sincerely,

Captain Mike Bullard

Custom built and installed by the same company that designed systems for most of San Diego’s long range fleet. Sea water is circulated in a closed loop from fish hold through a titanium chiller, then pumped through a series of nozzles located inside the hold creating a spray pattern which covers the fish. We can pump sea water chilled to 28 degrees (freezes below that). Preferable on 1 & 1.5 day trips. Or add brine (salt) which can be drawn down to 10 degrees, we generally brine to lower temp on our multi- day trips. Either way your catch will be handled with care and arrive dockside as fresh as possible.
